The Hard Winter - Morristown, 1779-80

The Continental Army endured the coldest witer of the war - and one of the coldest in recorded history - while encamped in Morristown. Supplies were short, money was scarce and tempers flared which led some troops to mutiny.

    Fosterfields, Morristown

The Fosterfields Living Historical Farm has ties to both Round Tables. The Continental Army encamped around the site, which was eventually purchased by Paul Revere's grandson.

General Joseph Warren Revere's military career came to an unfortunate end when he was court-martialled following the Battle of Chancellorsville. He died in Hoboken and was buried in Holy Rood Cemetary in Morristown.
